Lucys Story – Chapter 77
I was just waking up from a well deserved nap and sleepily glanced over at my dad. My dad was watching my mom, not saying a word, just watching. He stared at me and I saw the oh, no, now what? look on his face. I was afraid to peek over at my mom, but I knew it had to be done. Oh, no is right! I knew that look and it made my fur stand straight up all the way from my head to the very tip of my tail.
As I looked back at my dad he said, You see it too, dont you Lucy? Then we silently waited and waited and waited!
Yep, my mom finally said. Now that we have the furniture rearranged for our Christmas tree its obvious that this room REALLY needs to be freshened up. We have exactly 20 days until Christmas Eve. That should give us plenty of time to get the living room, foyer and hallway painted. Hmmm, and if we get right on this we just might have enough time to paint the kitchen.
My dad and I looked at each other and, yep, you guessed it, we made a mad dash for the back door.
And then we heard my mom laughing! Laughing? Wow, she doesnt usually laugh when we make a quick exit. We werent outside very long when we realized why she was laughing so hard. Duh, it was freezing cold outside. So, with heads and one tail hanging, back in the house we shuffled.
Well, what do you two think of this color? my mom asked us with a smirk on her face.
After the perfect color was decided on, me and my dad got busy planning our winter escape plan. Wish us luck!
Holiday Centerpiece Workshop
Saturday, December 6th
Ongoing throughout the day between 9am and 3pm
Create a beautiful centerpiece for your holiday table! Start by adding fresh greens to florist’s foam to create your base. Choose from an assortment of picks for a seasonal accent. For that classic look simply add a candle.
You can select from an assortment of decorations to create your own individually decorated centerpiece. Pricing is the combined cost of the florists form, fresh greens, adornments, and bows that you select.
You may pre-register for this workshop by sending Marty an email at email@example.com or call us at 608-222-2269.
We want to have plenty of supplies for you to create your masterpieces, so pre-registration is appreciated, though not required.
Our workshop is ongoing throughout the day between 9am and 3pm, so there is no need to sign up for a particular time slot. Walk-ins are always welcome.
My wife accused me of being immature.
I told her to get out of my fort.

Oh, no, not leftovers again!
Complained my older sister when she saw the leftover meatloaf on the table from last nights supper.
Young lady responded my father sternly, do you know how many people would love to have a delicious supper like this?! You should be ashamed of yourself! Now before we start eating I want to hear you say grace thanking the Lord for this delicious meal!
Thank you Lord for this delicious supper, muttered my sister submissively, …again!
