Lucys Story – Chapter 43
Okay, Ive got to admit it. Hubby and I have been a little lax with Lucys daily massages. That point was made recently when sweet Lucy laid down on the floor next to her massager and woefully looked up at us with those sweet caramel colored eyes and then let out a long soulful sigh.
Oh, man, talk about a guilt trip! Hubby and I got the message loud and clear. We immediately stepped up to the plate (rather, down to the floor) and now Lucy is once again getting one, sometimes two massages a day.
By the way, Lucy wanted me to send a happy tail wag out to Linda.
Hmmm, not quite sure what this is all about, but I surmise that Linda possibly put a (friendly) bug in Lucys ear on how to get her massage wants and needs recognized.
Is it time for me to change my email password?
’til next time

And everyone looked up to him.
Americas Best Flowers Fundraising Program Extended to April 15
There is still time for your non-profit organization to earn funds. Due to several schools mentioning the fact that Spring Break reduces the time for them to sell America’s Best Flowers gift cards we are extending the deadline to April 15 for all non-profit organizations.
Since spring 2014 is here people are beginning to think about vegetable gardens, shade trees, flowering shrubs and glorious flowers.
What perfect timing for your non-profit organization to participate in Americas Best Flowers fundraiser program. Non-profit organizations earn 25% of the proceeds from each gift card they sell. For example, if your organization sells $500 of our gift cards, which are available in any denomination over $10, your organization would earn $125.
Please contact us if your non-profit organization is in need of funds for things such as (but by no means limited to):
- Local charities, (i.e. food pantry)
- Church mission trips
- New equipment or uniforms for your school sports program, or
- New equipment or uniforms for your school band or orchestra
Americas Best Flowers gift cards are valid at both our Cottage Grove and Edgerton locations.
If you are interested or have questions regarding our easy and profitable program, please contact Shirley at email@example.com.

Basketball players are always bouncing ideas off each other
Just when you think youve seen it all, you open a magazine and find something new. We came across the following idea in the April 2014 issue of Midwest Living Magazine. How clever and at the same time so easy. Top your colorful rolls with homemade herb butter for a delicious addition to your holiday meal.
Easter Egg Rolls
- 1 Package Frozen Dinner Rolls
- Egg Yolks
- Food Coloring
For Easter-egg rolls, thaw frozen dinner rolls (such as Rhodes) according to package directions. Gently form rolls into egg shapes; let rise 1 hour. For each color, in a small bowl, whisk 1 egg yolk, 2 teaspoons water and food coloring. Brush paint on rolls. (For stronger color, do a second coat.) Bake as directed. Serve nestled in a basket.
This is so delicious on bread, also great for vegetables, potatoes and pasta. You can make herb butters up ahead of time, label your containers and store in the refrigerator. Just be sure to warm to room temperature before serving.
Soften desired amount of butter to room temperature.
Add one or two tablespoons chopped fresh herbs per stick. We have several basils and thymes ready to go home with you now. Many more will be ready by Easter.
Experiment with different herbs, either alone or in combination:
- Dill or parsley butters are great on warm rolls.
- Try chive butter on potatoes.
- Basil, oregano, thyme and marjoram team up for great pasta.
- Parsley, chives, thyme, cayenne and salt are wonderful on corn.
The possibilities are endless. Enjoy!!
A farmer walked into an attorneys office wanting to file for a divorce
The attorney asked, May I help you?
The farmer said, Yea, I want to get one of the dayvorces.
The attorney said, Well, do you have any grounds?
The farmer said, Yea. I got about 140 acres.
The attorney said, No, you dont understand, do you have a case?
The farmer said, No, I dont have a Case, but I have a John Deere.
The attorney said, No, you dont understand. I mean do you have a grudge?
The farmer said, Yea, I got a grudge. Thats where I park my John Deere.
The attorney said, No sir, I mean do you have a suit?
The farmer said, Yes sir, I got a suit. I wear it to church on Sundays.
The exasperated attorney said, Well, sir, does your wife beat you up or anything?
The farmer said, No sir, we both get up about 4:30.
Finally, the attorney said, Okay, let me put it this way. WHY DO YOU WANT A DIVORCE?
And the farmer says. Well, I can never have a meaningful conversation with her.
