Lady’s Story – Chapter 49

There's a darn squirrel coming and going in our attic.  It seems to be making itself right at home, which is just plan wrong!  Are ya with me here?My mom and dad pound on the ceiling in the kitchen, go outside and beat on the outside wall, they even put a trap up there, but the he or she squirrel ignores it all.  They even put a radio in the garage high up on a ladder near the squirrels' favorite spot and turn the radio up to as loud as it will go hoping the noise would chase it out.Shhh, just between you and me it's been hilarious watching my mom and dad do all these silly, silly things! When we finally figured out how the stupid thing was getting into the attic we fixed the problem!  Yeah, no more squirrel, right?  Wrong!A few days later me and my dad were going out to the backyard thru the kitchen and the garage when all of a sudden we heard some scratching noise and here the squirrel was inside the garage and climbing the wall up to the attic!  My dad tried to use a broom and get him out but this squirrel is a real fast one and he made it up to the attic.  Huh, my dad said some words I'd never heard before.  By the look on his face I didn't think I should ask what they meant. Then it happened a couple of days later to my mom, only she didn't try to chase it out of the garage she just 'SCREAMED' at the top of her voice and ran back into the house. I think the squirrel was more scared than my mom. It was hysterical!  I can't tell ya when I've laughed so hard!  Where’s that replay button when you need it?So, after that, duh, we figured out that the darn squirrel is walking in the back garage door just like it lives here.  Gotta hand it to the squirrel for being so brave.  Again, kinda funny, right?Wrong!  Now we have to keep the back door shut ALL the time so the squirrel can't get in.  Oh, that's a solution all right, only now I CAN'T GET OUT to the backyard whenever I want!Suddenly, this isn't so funny!~Lady
