Fresh Cut Flowers

Are you anxious for a POP of SPRING COLOR?  Well, come on out to our floral shops and pick up some fresh cut flowers or a floral arrangement to brighten your day!

We also have an array of gift items that will lift your mid-winter-blues available at both our Cottage Grove and Edgerton Floral Shops!

Wait a second, there’s ANOTHER year?
I have to do it all over again???

It’s for the Birds!

You can make it a happy, hardy, and healthy season for our feathered friends.  We have gift boxed hanging Holiday Birdie Wreaths, from Pine Tree Farms.  This 2.25 lb. featured wreath will serve up a feast of black oil sunflower, peanuts, colored safflower, and red millet.  Stop in and stock up your bird pantry for the winter.

These wreaths make great gifts for the bird watcher in your life!

Mother-In-Law Tongues

The Mother-In-Law’s Tongue or Snake plant is a great houseplant and is especially perfect for beginning gardeners. It is a very carefree plant that likes dry soil and air.

This is a durable plant and high light is best to keep the foliage full. It will survive in lower light provided it is allowed to dry between watering. It should be watered sparingly but regularly, especially in the winter when it is more or less dormant.  Over watering can cause tip burn.  The Mother-In-Law plant seems to thrive and flower best when it is kept somewhat root bound.  This plant can reach two feet in height and will make a quiet statement in any area.

My New Year’s resolution is not to shovel snow.
Since I’m gonna be in Florida, I feel pretty good about it!

It’s Never Too Early!

Even though we are enjoying (or not) our Wisconsin winter, spring is right around the corner!   It’s time to start dreaming about and planning for your spring garden.

Have you been thinking about a bird bath or two for your yard? Now is a great time to stop in and check out our new lower prices of many styles of bird baths.

Come springtime your bird baths will be an open invitation for the neighborhood birds to stop in for a quick drink or swim.

2017 Ideas

We are currently working on our 2017 Schedule of Events.  You are so important to us and for that reason we are asking you for your input.  If you have a suggestion for an event that you would like us to have at our greenhouse, please send us an email at abfscimino@yahoo.com.

We do ask that you keep all suggestions in context to what our greenhouse represents.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Why can’t you gain weight by eating pretzels?
Because its knot food.

Our Kitchen

Due to enjoying a little too much food over the holiday season ‘Our Kitchen’ section of the newsletter will be closed until all the weight gained over the holidays is lost.

Ahh, on second thought we’ll start up the recipes again in early February.
