Sit back and let the fun begin!
Snacks are always in demand whenever there is a gathering of friends and family. Lisa brought this one in for us at last week’s staff meeting. It’s so good and so easy to put together. You can use it as an appetizer to keep those hungry munchkins out of your kitchens before dinner OR as a great snack for the after dinner football game (GO PACK).
Lisa’s Hot Taco Dip
- 1 8 oz cream cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¾ cup shredded cheese
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup mild thick & chunky salsa, spicier if desired
- Grated or shredded cheese
- Green Onions
- Black olives
Mix cream cheese, sour cream and cheese. Spread mixture in an oven proof dish. Top with black beans. Next layer on salsa. This needs to be baked at 350 degrees until warm, 20-25 min, remove and top with additional cheese. Return to oven until cheese melts.
This can also be made in the slow cooker on low…takes about 3 hours.
Cover with additional toppings as desired. Serve with tortilla chips.
Often instead of plain sour cream, I use chip dip.
